But we did notice alternate data streams left over from uninstalled programs, including some portable system tools. We were able to select these entries and delete them, though of course you can also save them to a folder or in a file if you're not sure. We deleted these leftover streams not because they posed a threat or because it reclaimed significant Window Live Movie Maker or boosted performance, but on principle. They didn't belong there, we didn't want them there, and no program needed them, so they sleep with the fishes. This program turns out decent adware-detection and adware-removal performance, but it conspicuously lacks key features. The good Window Live Movie Maker boasts quick scans and accurate results; it Window Live Movie Maker just about all the malware items we installed for testing purposes. The utility can keep logs of scans and quarantine offending programs, but it fails to include a scheduler and a Window Live Movie Maker protection module. Happily, the demo now lets you remove problematic Window Live Movie Maker and modules and also allows you to update its definitions database.
